MA in Economics & Law

Trinity was founded by Henry VIII in 1546, when he combined two existing colleges (King's Hall and Michaelhouse) and seven hostels (Catherine’s, Garratt, Gregory’s, Ovyng’s, Physwick, St Margaret's, and Tyler’s). Since then Trinity has flourished and grown, and is now a home to around 600 undergraduates, 300 graduates, and over 180 Fellows. Trinity exists to give its members a rewarding, richly resourced, and intellectually inspiring place in which to pursue their education and research. Princes, spies, poets and prime-ministers have all been taught here, and members of the College go on to a very wide range of professions and careers after taking degrees in all the subjects the University offers.

The Liberal Democrats are a socially liberal political party in the United Kingdom, supporting constitutional and electoral reform, progressive taxation, environmentalism, human rights laws, banking reform and civil liberties. The party was formed in 1988 by a merger of the Liberal Party and the Social Democratic Party. The two parties had formed the electoral SDP–Liberal Alliance for seven years prior. The Liberals had been in existence for 129 years and in power under leaders such as Gladstone, Asquith and Lloyd George. During these times in government, the Liberals are credited with the Liberal Reforms, which saw the creation of the welfare state. In the 1920s, the Labour Party replaced the Liberals as the largest opponent of the Conservative Party.

Space for Giants is an international conservation charity, registered in the UK (charity no: 1139771) and USA (EIN: 47-1805681) and Kenya governed by a volunteer Board of Trustees. It is their mission to secure a future for the largest mammals on earth forever, to be enjoyed by humanity forever, by ensuring that they have the space and security to live and move freely in the wild forever. Their vision is to develop new models for conservation that enable people to support and sustain populations of large wild animals and the natural landscapes they depend on. Their work is globally relevant but they are currently focused on efforts in and around the 10,000 km2 Laikipia Plateau in north-central Kenya.
