Biography

“ The key to planning and implementing the right litigation, compliance, and privacy strategy is to develop and maintain a strong partnership with our clients.

Tiffany is co-chair of MoFo’s global Litigation Department and also serves as co-chair of the firm’s Class Actions & Mass Torts Practice Group. Clients seek out Tiffany for her experience and successful track record in defending clients in consumer class actions in a broad range of industries. She has advised extensively on Telephone Consumer Protection Act (TCPA) disputes, as well as matters involving unfair business practices and consumer fraud laws, in courts throughout the United States.

Tiffany has represented numerous Fortune 500 companies in TCPA litigation, including McKesson Corporation, LexisNexis, and 24 Hour Fitness. She advises on the intricacies of the TCPA and CAN-SPAM Acts, ensuring her clients have compliant policies and practices. She also does substantial work involving privacy and data security, and has represented clients in privacy litigation, investigations, and actions brought by government officials.

Tiffany was recently recognized by BTI Consulting Group as one of a small group of attorneys nationwide who represent the “absolute best of the best” in the area of client service. Her clients include leaders in the technology, healthcare, financial services, and retail sectors.

She is an editor, and frequent contributor, to the Morrison & Foerster’s Class Dismissed blog and a contributing editor of the TCPA Report section of MoFo’s Financial Services Quarterly Report. As a thought leader, Tiffany often speaks to groups of industry peers about key developments in class action privacy litigation.

Because she is committed to the firm’s pro bono program, Tiffany works on diverse matters in that arena, including representing numerous clients in connection with guardianship proceedings and immigration proceedings for children.

Tiffany earned her B.A. from the University of California, Berkeley with high honors and was a member of Phi Beta Kappa. She received her J.D. from the University of California, Boalt Hall School of Law in 2000, where she was Editor-in-Chief of the Asian Law Journal. From 2000 to 2001, she was a judicial clerk for the Honorable Marian Blank Horn of the United States Court of Federal Claims and also served as a judicial clerk for the Honorable Susan R. Bolton of the United States District Court for the District of Arizona from 2001 to 2002.

The University of California, Berkeley, School of Law, commonly referred to as Berkeley Law and Boalt Hall, is one of 14 schools and colleges at the University of California, Berkeley. Berkeley Law is consistently ranked as one of the top law schools in the nation, with acceptance rates lower than every school except Yale and Stanford. The Department of Jurisprudence was founded at Berkeley in 1894. In 1912, the department was renamed the School of Jurisprudence, which was then renamed the School of Law in 1950. The School was originally located in the center of the main UC Berkeley campus in the Boalt Memorial Hall of Law, built in 1911 with funds largely from Elizabeth Josselyn Boalt donated in memory of her late husband, John Henry Boalt. In 1951, the School moved to its current location in the new Boalt Hall, at the southeast corner of the campus, and the old Boalt Hall was renamed Durant Hall. In April 2008, the law school rebranded itself from "Boalt Hall" to "Berkeley Law", in order to more closely tie the law school's name with the campus upon which it resides. The administration hopes that this move will further increase the law school's prestige, since people will now associate it with the Berkeley campus.
