Geisinger Health System Foundation secures contributions, large and small, to support the advancement of our highly regarded medical care, health programs, staff, and facilities. Through our philanthropic work, we fund the clinical innovations necessary to improve upon our high level of patient care. With a vision to build a hospital and “make it the best,” Abigail Geisinger founded Geisinger Foundation nearly 100 years ago with a single donation. Much has changed since her initial gift, but some things remain the same: generous contributions from our community keep Geisinger at the forefront of medicine and uphold Abigail Geisinger’s vision of providing quality health care. Geisinger Health System Foundation funds a variety of programs and needs, including: the acquisition of state-of-the-art equipment, the recruitment of new personnel, the training of staff on the latest procedures and techniques, the expansion of facilities and crucial electronic systems, and much more. As a not-for-profit health system, we are committed to ensuring every donation, regardless of size, is utilized to its fullest. Gifts are used to improve our services and uphold our reputation as one of the nation’s most-advanced, top-rated health systems, rather than funding administrative costs or unnecessary overhead. Since its ambitious founding, Geisinger has grown into a remarkable resource that has touched millions of lives. With your support, we can continue to provide high-quality health services for generations to come.
