Biography

Peter M. Labonski is a partner in the New York office of Latham & Watkins. Mr. Labonski is the Corporate Department Chair for the New York office and served as the Administrative Partner for the firm’s New York office from 2001 to 2010. Mr. Labonski’s practice focuses primarily on corporate finance and general securities and corporate matters.

Mr. Labonski has substantial experience representing issuers and investment banks in public and private debt and equity offerings and lending transactions of all kinds in a broad range of industries, including chemicals, entertainment, financial services, gaming, healthcare, hospitality, manufacturing, energy, media and telecommunications, technology and retail. He has also represented investment banks, companies and investors in all manner of other engagements, including tender offer and consent solicitations, restructurings, bridge lending and loan commitments, the purchase and sale of restricted securities, Regulation S offerings and other financial transactions.

In recent years, he has represented Credit Suisse, UBS Securities LLC, Morgan Stanley & Co. Inc., Deutsche Bank, Singapore Technologies Telemedia, JP Morgan Securities, Goldman Sachs & Co., Bank of America Securities LLC, CitiGroup Global Markets, Wells Fargo Advisors, Macquarie Capital (USA), GoldenTree Asset Management, GSO Capital Partners, Ares Management LLC, Integra Life Science and Leap Wireless International, Inc.

Mr. Labonski served on both the Association of the Bar of City of New York’s Corporation’s Committee and the Committee on Securities Regulation. He also studied Japanese.
