Oscar Suarez

Oscar is the Markets Leader for Florida/Puerto Rico, overseeing all services provided by Ernst & Young LLP in Florida and in Puerto Rico. Prior to this position, he was the Markets Leader for South Florida and the Miami Office Managing Partner (OMP). Earlier, Oscar served as a Partner in the Americas Integrating Practices.

Oscar has 33 years of public accounting experience. He has extensive experience in handling large multinational and SEC type engagements, both from a federal tax and international service-line perspective.

Oscar graduated from St. Thomas University, Summa Cum Laude (1981). He is a certified public accountant and a member of the Florida and American Institute of Certified Public Accountants.

Oscar is a Board member of the Florida International University Foundation. He was a founding member of the School of Business Corporate Advisory Board at FIU, as well as a Founding member of the School of Accounting Corporate Advisory Board at the University of Miami. He is also a Board Member of the Miami United Way and the Campaign Co-chair for 2013/14 and 2014/15. He served as the EY representative to the ALPFA (Association of Latino Professionals in Accounting and Finance) Corporate Advisory Board from 2007 to 2013. He is a Lifetime ALPFA member.

He has been married to his wife, Noryn, for 32 years and has three children.
