Biography

Mike Parson was sworn in as the governor of Missouri on June 1, 2018.

Immediately prior to becoming governor, Parson served as the lieutenant governor of Missouri. He previously served in both the Missouri Senate and Missouri House of Representatives after serving as the Sheriff of Polk County. He also spent six years in the U.S. Army.

As Lieutenant Governor, Parson was inducted into the Missouri Farmers Care Hall of Fame, won the Missouri Grocers Association Capitol Impact Award, and was named to Ingram’s 50 Missourians You Should Know 2018 list.

Governor Parson is a small business owner and is a third-generation farmer who currently owns and operates a cow and calf operation near Bolivar, Missouri.
