Biography

Michael Barasch is a life-long New Yorker, married to Candace and father of Robert and Julia. He is the managing partner of the NY personal injury law firm of Barasch McGarry Salzman & Penson. His accident lawyers represent seriously injured victims of all types of accidents. They have recovered hundreds of millions of dollars on behalf of their clients at trials and in settlements. They are particularly proud of fighting for the rights of those who died and/or were injured as a result of the 9/11 attacks and during the rescue and recovery efforts at the WTC site. Thousands of first responders have become seriously ill or have died as a result of the toxic exposure. Barasch McGarry currently represent nearly 10,000 claimants before the Zadroga Victim Compensation Fund.

Their mission is simple: to provide legal assistance and support to those unable to help themselves.

Michael is very proud of his lifelong friendship with Doug Lasdon and his membership on the Board of the Urban Justice Center.
