Biography

In August 2002, Mayela and her new company launched the D’Latinos brand, with the first Spanish language television show celebrating over 11 years on the air. Not long after, in 2003, they integrated to the publishing side, producing D’Latinos Magazine, also adding an online portal, www.dlatinos.tv.

In 2006, Media Vista Group moved to a new level by acquiring its first television station, WANA/Azteca America SWFL. Then, in its efforts to expand their operations further, this past December 21, 2012, the company announced their acquisition of tree new television stations affiliated with the Univision Network, in Fort Myers, Minneapolis and Kansas City, respectively.

In 2008, she graduated from the National Association of Broadcasters in Washington DC, and Congressman Mario Diaz-Balart, also honored her as one of the 100 most influential Latinas in the USA in 2009.

For Mayela, family is extremely important and the reason why she works hard to empower her 2 boys, Gabriel, 14, and Daniel, 10.
