Ms.Surridge joined Rosalind Franklin University in March 2003 to assume the position of Vice President for Finance and Administration. In 2006 she accepted the position of Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer. She oversees Administration, Operations,Purchasing, Mail Center, Shipping and Receiving, Facilities Management, Campus Security, Human Resources, Real Estate, University Business Services, Information Technology Services, Creative Media Center, Planning and Institutional Research, Student Financial Services and University Strategic Planning. In September 2012 Ms. Surridge also became responsible for the Learning Resource Center, Educational Technology and the Gross Anatomy operational functions.

In addition to her role as Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Office, in 2007 Ms. Surridge accepted the position of President of Rosalind Franklin University Health System (RFUHS), a subsidiary of the University. RFUHS provides patient care in the fields of podiatry, behavioral health, reproductive medicine and primary care while serving as a training facility for the students of Rosalind Franklin University of Medicine and Science.

The Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer of Rosalind Franklin University of Medicine and Science currently serves on the Board of Trustees Strategic Initiatives Committee.

Formed in 1912 as the Chicago Hospital-College of Medicine, Rosalind Franklin University of Medicine and Science is a national leader in interprofessional medical and healthcare education, offering a doctor of medicine program through the Chicago Medical School, doctor of podiatric medicine program through the Dr. William M. Scholl College of Podiatric Medicine, and a range of degrees through its College of Health Professions, including nurse anesthesia, nutrition, physical therapy, pathologists’ assistant and physician assistant. The University also offers advanced biomedical degrees through the School of Graduate and Postdoctoral Studies. The University received candidate status for the PharmD program in its College of Pharmacy and welcomed its first class August 2011. Current enrollment includes 1,932 students who are completing advanced biomedical and healthcare degrees. There are over 16,000 alumni of Rosalind Franklin University of Medicine and Science, including more than 6,400 Chicago Medical School graduates, who dedicate their careers to promoting the health and well being of their patients. The mission of Rosalind Franklin University is to serve the nation through the education of health professionals and the discovery of knowledge dedicated to improving the health of its people.
