Biography

Marcelle C. Highstreet joined Loyola University New Orleans in November 2014 as the Development Officer for the College of Law. She received her law degree from Loyola University New Orleans College of Law, where she was a member of the Moot Court Staff. She holds a Master’s degree in Political Science and undergraduate degrees in Political Science and History from the University of New Orleans

Marcelle brings 20 years of experience in advancement, including her past position at Tulane University as the Director of Development for the School of Architecture and her past position at Loyola University New Orleans as Director of Prospect Research during Thresholds, Loyola’s most recent comprehensive campaign prior to Faith in the Future. She has experience in major gifts, annual giving, planned giving, research, and development writing. Prior to Loyola, Marcelle served as the Director of Institutional Advancement at Mount Carmel Academy, where she oversaw the major, annual and planned giving programs and the alumni office.

Before segueing to a career in Development, Marcelle practiced law with the firm of Sacks and Raines (previously Sacks and Eason), primarily in the area of admiralty/maritime insurance defense. She is native of New Orleans.

Loyola University New Orleans College of Law is a private law school in New Orleans, Louisiana affiliated with Loyola University New Orleans. Loyola's law school opened in 1914 and is now located on the Broadway Campus of the University in the historic Audubon Park District of the city. The College of Law is one of only fourteen Jesuit law schools in the United States. It is also one of only a few law schools in the nation to offer curricula in both Civil Law and Common Law. The school releases several academic journals, most notable of which is the Loyola Law Review.
