Biography

Linda Verba is Head of Service Strategy at TD Bank, America’s Most Convenient Bank®. In this role, Linda leads programs focusing on customer satisfaction and employee reward and recognition. Her expertise, dedication and approach have guided a unique corporate culture of innovation and service excellence. This foundation is embraced company-wide and as a result, each team member is poised to deliver legendary Customer experiences.

Linda is also the Chair of TD Bank’s Diversity Leadership Team, a team of senior executives advocating diversity across TD by driving enterprise-wide diversity initiatives and working with businesses and support groups to embed diversity into their business plans.

Prior to this role, Linda led Store Operations and Service Programs at TD Bank, and played a critical role in the strategic growth of the bank’s retail operations from 75 to more than 1,000 locations. She has overseen the front lines of TD’s retail stores, which stretch from New England to the Southeastern U.S.

Early in her career, Linda held management positions with many industry-leading companies. Her broad background includes leadership of human resources, sales and account management, call center operations, and product development. Linda credits her early retail work experiences for having built the foundation for her career.

Linda has earned recognition as one of the 'Top 25 Most Powerful Women in Banking' by American Banker (in 2010 and 2012), after being named one of the 25 ‘Women to Watch’ in 2009 and 2011.

Linda is a Member of Fortune's Most Powerful Women's Summit. She is on the Board of Women's Refugee Commission, WRC, a non-profit advocating for laws, policies and programs to improve the lives and protect the rights of refugee women and children, bringing about lasting, measurable change. She is an active Member of the Senior Women Leaders Advisory Board of VisionSpring, a social enterprise that empowers women to launch their own business selling affordable eyeglasses in developing countries. Linda also sits on the Board of Directors for BAI.

Linda earned a Bachelor of Science degree from Penn State University.

The Women's Refugee Commission was established in 1989 and is legally part of the International Rescue Committee (IRC). The Women's Refugee Commission receives no direct financial support from the IRC. Through research and fact-finding field missions, the organization identifies critical problems that affect displaced women, children and young people, including gaps in lifesaving reproductive health care, lack of dignified livelihoods for refugees and, in the U.S., the treatment of asylum-seekers. The Women's Refugee Commission documents best practices and proposes solutions, and develops innovative tools to improve the way humanitarian assistance is delivered in refugee settings.
