Biography

Mrs. Silverstein heads the firm's Bankruptcy and Corporate Restructuring practice. She has more than 27 years of experience in the field primarily representing non-debtor entities, including corporate secured and unsecured creditors, creditors' committees, agents to syndicated lending groups, commercial lenders and lender groups and acquirers in connection with bankruptcy and restructuring matters in a variety of industries and market sectors. She has also represented debtors and trustees.

Laurie was recently inducted as a Fellow into the American College of Bankruptcy, and is also a Fellow of the American Bar Foundation. She is a co-chair of the Annual Mid-Atlantic Bankruptcy Workshop (2012, 2013) and is on the on the Planning Committee for the Delaware Views from the Bench (2013). Laurie is also on the Executive Committee of the Delaware Bankruptcy Inns of Court.

Laurie has been recognized as a leading practitioner in Chambers USA: American’s Leading Lawyers for Business, The Client’s Guide since its inception in 2003, and was named a “Star Individual” in the 2013 edition. She was also named the 2013 "Lawyer of the Year" — Bankruptcy Litigation, Wilmington DE by The Best Lawyers in America.
Laurie is a former chair of the firm's Litigation Group and member of the firm's Executive Committee (2006-2008).
