Securities ZWJ uses in their investment strategies and advice include equity securities such as exchange listed securities, securities traded over the counter and foreign issues; debt securities of corporations and similar entities; certificates of deposit; municipal and government securities; and investment company securities such as mutual fund shares.ZWJ is a core equity manager that seeks to provide clients with long-term capital appreciation and relatively low volatility. The firm looks for companies with attractive valuations relative to the market, low price earnings ratio to growth rate (PEG ratio) and low debt to capital. Portfolios are diversified and offer broad exposure across economic sectors. Companies typically have market-caps of $500 million or more. Portfolios contain a blended mix of stocks which are overweighted relative to the market outlook and their potential to achieve growth and value. Portfolios contain approximately 50 equally-weighted positions.^ZWJ's fixed-income investments include high-quality, intermediate-maturity Government, corporate and municipal fixed-income securities. Average maturity and duration are extended when a decrease in interest rates is expected and are shortened when an increase in interest rates is expected.
