As one of the largest public institutions in Massachusetts, Bridgewater State University (BSU) has been offering rigorous and rewarding academic programs for over 150 years. BSU is a technology-driven university that has integrated information resources into the campus. It is a wireless campus, and all incoming freshmen are required to have a laptop computer. One of the highlights of the BSU campus is that it has a commuter rail system that is located on campus. For those who commute from Boston, the rail can be used to transport them to and from school. It also works out great for those who live on campus and want to go into the city for a day for shopping or entertainment. Many students live on campus at BSU, and college life is full of activities through athletics, clubs, fraternities and sororities, student government and a host of others. Candidates for admissions to BSU should provide the school with standardized test scores and transcripts. Personal interviews are not mandatory, but the university does encourage potential students to attend one of its regularly-held information sessions during the year. Financial aid opportunities are available to interested applicants who meet the necessary requirements. Academics at BSU are comprehensive, and students must take a core curriculum of classes in addition to coursework for their chosen majors. From Aviation Science to Business Administration, there is a range of bachelor’s and master’s degree programs available.
