Biography

President, IBM Foundation & Vice President, IBM Corporate Citizenship

Jennifer Ryan Crozier leads IBM Corporate Citizenship – overseeing the company’s contributions of technology and talent to help governments, nonprofits and communities tackle some of the world’s most difficult societal challenges. Under Ms. Crozier’s leadership, IBM is combining talent and technology to address global health disparities, reinvent education to prepare young people for 21st century jobs, and blaze new trails in citizen diplomacy.

Ms. Crozier pioneered the Corporate Service Corps, IBM's version of the Peace Corps, in 2007. The CSC has since deployed more than 4,000 experts from IBM to address strategic, humanitarian challenges in more than 40 countries. The CSC has built groundbreaking partnerships with such entities as the American Cancer Society, the Peace Corps, and over 140 mayors around the world, earning recognition from the White House and the Committee for Encouraging Corporate Philanthropy. In addition, IBM has advised numerous Fortune 500 companies on developing similar programs.

She oversees IBM's P-TECH program, a grade 9 to 14 schools initiative that leverages strategic partnerships to connect high school to college and career. The P-TECH model has been featured on the cover of TIME magazine.

Ms. Crozier also leads IBM's global disaster preparedness and response, skills-based volunteerism, pro bono consulting, economic development, and the award-winning World Community Grid.

Ms. Crozier is a frequent speaker on the role of innovation in philanthropy, and her articles have appeared in the Harvard Business Review, Scientific American and the Huffington Post.

She serves on the boards of the American Cancer Society, GCE - US and the Citizens Budget Commission of NYC. Ms. Crozier holds a B.A. from Colorado College, and an M.A. in linguistics from SUNY Stony Brook. She lives in New York with her husband and two children.
