Biography

Jan Schipper is a Managing Director in Investment Banking Department of Bank of America Merrill Lynch. Jan is a senior member of the Global
Financial Sponsor Group and is based in New York. The Global Financial Sponsor Group oversees the Bank’s relationships with over 100
private equity firms worldwide. He currently manages key Merrill Lynch relationships including: Kohlberg, Kravis, Roberts & Co., Metalmark
Capital Partners, Fortress Investment Group and BC Partners and has previously managed the relationships with Apollo Management, Madison
Dearborn Partners, Texas Pacific Group, Court Square Capital and One Equity Partners.
He joined Banc of America Securities upon graduation from business school in 1994 and has held a variety of positions in Leveraged Finance,
High Yield Capital Markets and for the last ten years covering many of the Bank’s most important relationships within the Financial Sponsor
Group. Prior to graduate business school, Jan was with Price Waterhouse.
Mr. Schipper has extensive experience working with private equity firms in both buy-side and sell-side assignments. Significant lead
managed assignments include the $31 Bn LBO of Harrah’s, the $18Bn LBO of Univision, the $11Bn LBO of Intelsat and the $34Bn LBO of HCA
Corp. in addition to over 80 other LBO’s, recapitalizations, acquisition financings and IPO’s.
Mr. Schipper received an MBA from the Kenan Flagler Business School at the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill. He received his BS in
Business and Accounting from Wake Forest University and is a CPA .
