Jamie Froedge

James (Jamie) Froedge became executive president of Emerson’s Commercial & Residential Solutions business in August 2020. In this role, he is responsible for leading strategies, technology and innovation to help customers ensure human comfort and health, protect food quality and safety, advance energy efficiency, and create sustainable infrastructure. He joined Emerson’s Office of the Chief Executive in August 2020.

Froedge most recently served as president of Asia Pacific for Emerson’s Automation Solutions business. He joined Emerson in 2006 as vice president of marquee accounts within the Network Power business, having previously served in similar account leadership roles with both IBM and Hitachi. He held this role for six years, until he became vice president and general manager of the hyperscale business within Network Power. In 2012, Froedge moved to corporate as vice president of acquisitions planning and the following year was appointed vice president of acquisitions planning and development. In this role, he worked closely with Emerson’s chairman and CEO, the Office of the Chief Executive and the Board of Directors to help transform the portfolio through a series of acquisitions and divestitures.

In 2016, Froedge was named president of process systems and solutions within Automation Solutions, where he helped drive solutions to market that enhanced Emerson’s leadership in core markets and accelerated growth in the emerging digital transformation space. Froedge remained in this role until 2018, when he accepted the role to lead Automation Solutions in Asia Pacific and relocated to Singapore.

Froedge holds a bachelor’s degree in corporate and organizational communication and a master’s degree in communication from Western Kentucky University and a master’s degree in business administration from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business.
