Ian Annetts

Ian specialises in structuring and managing bespoke transactions which combine derivatives with other financial and corporate law elements, usually driven by tax, regulatory and accounting concerns. These transactions frequently involve cross-border set-off, netting and collateralisation techniques. He also advises on repurchase and stock lending agreements, commodity financing and other general derivatives matters. He regularly advises in relation to cash management and treasury products. In addition, he acts for the umbrella organisation for the UK’s payment systems, in the continuing development of their liquidity and settlement arrangements, as well as for other global infrastructure bodies such as CLS Bank International.
