Overview

Greg practices in the area of Commercial Restructuring & Bankruptcy. He works primarily in Chapter 11 bankruptcy proceedings representing debtors (including North American Refractories Company, Global Industrial Technologies, Inc., Hercules Chemical Company, and Metex Mfg. Corporation) creditors’ committees in both high-profile and small business cases, secured creditors, and indenture trustees (involving both municipal and corporate financings). In addition to preserving jobs and ongoing business value through the development of various reorganization plans, he has structured numerous bankruptcy asset sales (including Corrosion Technologies, Inc. and The Chardon Rubber Company), and has navigated clients through the sale process under Article 9 of the Uniform Commercial Code. Additionally, he has considerable experience dealing with fraud cases as well as sensitive workout scenarios with high-profile borrowers.

Greg has tried cases before the courts in Delaware, Ohio, Pennsylvania, and Texas. He has also handled numerous receiverships and foreclosures outside of bankruptcy in both the state and federal courts.

Greg possesses a distinctive background representing lenders in out-of-trust floorplan financing arrangements involving motor vehicle and industrial equipment dealerships in multiple jurisdictions, beyond the firm’s physical footprint. Greg also has particular skills and strengths to deal with the unique issues that arise in commercial transactions, including the representation of parties in contentious Chapter 15 bankruptcy proceedings, as well as in complex litigation under Section 1113 and 1114 of the Bankruptcy Code to reject or modify collective bargaining agreements and retiree benefits.

Greg’s career in bankruptcy and his vast experience extends to representing clients in multiple business sectors, including the healthcare, hospitality, steel, and transportation industries.
