Fred McQueary, MD has served as President of Mercy Clinic (North Central Communities) since January, 2009, after serving as President of the Clinic’s Springfield Division. Dr. McQueary has practiced at Mercy in Springfield for 26 years. He has been part of the Mercy Clinic since its inception in 1993, serving in various leadership roles including: Chair of Orthopedics, Director of Spine Surgery, Surgery Department Chairman, and on multiple Boards of Directors: Mercy Health Plans, Mercy Hospital (Springfield), Mercy Clinic (North Central Communities), Mercy Health System (Springfield) and of Mercy Children’s Hospitals. He also serves Co-Chair of the Mercy Clinic Leadership Council and as a member of the Mercy Executive Team.

Dr. McQueary received his medical education from University of Missouri-Columbia School of Medicine graduating Cum Laude. He holds a Masters of Medical Management (MMM degree) from Tulane University School of Public Health, New Orleans, LA.

Dr. McQueary completed his Orthopedic Residency at the University of Iowa Hospitals, Iowa City, IA and a Clinical Fellowship in Arthritis and Joint Reconstructive Surgery, Brigham and Women’s Hospital, Boston, Massachusetts.

Dr. McQueary is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons, and a member of the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons, American Association of Hip and Knee Surgeons, North American Spine Society, and the American College of Physician Executives,
