Biography

Fred Ruck serves as a Senior Vice President overseeing the Company?s general casualty treaty reinsurance business for Alterra Reinsurance USA Limited. Prior to the merger of Max Capital and Harbor Point in 2010, Fred served in the same capacity at Max Bermuda, having joined the company in November 2003.

From 1997 to 2003, Fred was with Everest Re, where he served as a Vice President of the Casualty Treaty Underwriting Department. Previously, Fred was a Vice President and Casualty Treaty Underwriter at Transatlantic Re and Reinsurance Corporation of NY and also a Casualty Facultative Underwriter at Reinsurance Corporation of NY, MONY RE, and Allstate Re.

Fred holds a BS of Management degree from Rider University, Lawrenceville, NJ and an MBA from Baruch College in NYC.
