Biography

Elaine Dubrovsky has been an active volunteer at Federation CJA of Montreal since 1976. She served as chair of the Women’s Campaign in 2005 and is the president-elect of Women’s Philanthropy for the upcoming year. She also sits on the boards of JFNA and UIA.

Among her other philanthropic endeavors, Elaine has been vice president of the Israel Bonds Women’s Division, a member of the board of the Saidye Bronfman Centre for the Arts (now the Segal Centre for Performing Arts at The Saidye), co-president of the Sisterhood at the Shaar Hashomayim Synagogue, and a volunteer for Meals on Wheels. In 1988, she was a chaperone on the March of Living and co-chaired the March in 2007 and 2008. She also co-chaired the 2009 Weekend to End Breast Cancer, a fundraiser to benefit the Segal Cancer Center of the Jewish General Hospital.

A graduate of the Fashion Arts Academy, she uses her creative talent to help others by doing art therapy at Dalse House for former psychiatric patients and at Giant Steps for children with special needs, and giving art classes to cancer patients at the Hope and Cope Wellness Centre at the Jewish General Hospital.

Elaine and her husband, Rick, are the proud parents of three sons.
