Ed leads HSBC Insurance’s global Strategic Partnership programme, responsible for delivering the global strategy through HSBC’s bancassurance network and for implementing best-in-breed customer propositions, through M&A and organic strategies, with our partners across all regions. Ed is also responsible for the design of HSBC's insurance manufacturing strategy across its core life markets in Europe, Asia and Latin America, advising on capital optimisation, channel development and product strategy.

Ed joined HSBC in 2005 and has since served in a variety of managerial positions across Broking, Underwriting, Reinsurance, Life and Non-life insurance business lines in the UK and Ireland.
Ed is a two-time award winner from the Chartered Insurance Institute and the Insurance Institute of London, a former sports journalist and professional tennis instructor, and received a Bachelor of Arts, First Class History from the University of Durham and an Executive MBA from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business.

The University of Chicago Booth School of Business is a graduate business school located in Chicago, Illinois, at the University of Chicago. Formerly known as the University of Chicago Graduate School of Business, Chicago Booth is the second-oldest business school in the U.S., the first such school to offer an Executive MBA program, and the first to initiate a Ph.D. program in business.
