Biography

Don McNichol is a dynamic and innovative digital marketing executive with 20 years of experience developing omnichannel, consumer-centric experiences through web properties, in-store and direct marketing. Highlights of his career range from contributing to the launch of IBM.com and TheWhitehouse.gov in 1995 to the initial launches of emerging eCommerce properties in the early 2000s to creating award-winning retail experiences for today's popular brands.

McNichol continues to define industry best practices for the consumer's ubiquitous connectivity and brand engagement. As an executive consultant, McNichol assists companies with extreme channel growth opportunities in the realm of omnichannel brand and product experience. Over the past three years his clients have included: Drs. Foster & Smith (a Petco company), Estee Lauder Companies (Aveda, Origins, Jo Malone, Bobbie Brown, MAC), Boston Proper (Chicos FAS company), Harper’s Bazaar, ShopBazaar, Vivre, Halston Borghese, Intermix, James Avery and Micros Retail.

Previously, he turned around venerable watch company Tourneau’s approach to customer service by establishing a “digital constellation” that integrates stores, website, social media and call centers within one database. From 2005 to 2010, McNichol was head of direct marketing and eCommerce at Intermix, a women’s fashion retailer, and launched its first eCommerce store, prior to being sold to the GAP. Earlier, he served as senior director of product marketing at Prodigy Communications, which went public in 1998 and was eventually sold to SBC Communications in 2001.

He received an MBA in general management from Dowling College and a BA in economics from the University of North Carolina, where he played on the 1991 national championship lacrosse team as an honored All-American.
