At this year's annual meeting of The American College of Psychiatrists, Catherine Chiles, MD, associate professor of psychiatry at Yale School of Medicine, was elevated to the status of Fellow. Dr. Chiles is the director of the Psychiatry Consultation-Liaison Service at the West Haven campus of the VA Connecticut Healthcare System. She trains Yale medical students, residents and fellows in the art of psychiatric practice at the interface with other medical and surgical services.

Dr. Chiles is the recipient of numerous awards for educators. She is a two-time recipient of the Leah Lowenstein Award for Humane and Egalitarian Education from the Yale Office for Women in Medicine, and a four-time recipient of the Yale Psychiatry Residents Association Teaching Award.

Dr. Chiles is a Senior National Examiner of the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology, a Fellow of the Academy of Psychosomatic Medicine, and a Distinguished Fellow of the American Psychiatric Association.

Dr. Chiles received her MD from the University of North Carolina, and completed both her psychiatry residency and a fellowship in psychiatry and pharmacology at Yale School of Medicine.
