The Skandalaris Center provides seed capital and services for promising new ventures arising from the University of Washington St. Louis and the surrounding St. Louis region. The Center sponsors two business plan competitions: the Olin Cup for commercial ventures and the YouthBridge Social Enterprise and Innovation Competition for social ventures.The Hatchery Seed Capital Fund provides capital for student-originated ventures and connects students to entrepreneurs in the community. The Fund also seeks provide scholarship support to the University of Washington St. Louis, through the use of income from the fund and to provide financial assistance to entrepreneurially-oriented students.
