Biography

With emphases on the energy and federal procurement industries, Brad Fagg guides sophisticated commercial clients through high-stakes contractual and regulatory disputes, and government and internal investigations. He also advises on predispute counseling matters. As co-leader of both the firm’s Energy Litigation Practice and Government Contracting Practice, Brad has handled scores of major matters for utilities and other energy companies. He often serves as lead counsel at trial and in appellate proceedings.

Federal Circuit Bar Association is a national organization for the bar of the Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit. Leadership of the Association comes from all areas of the country and represents all areas of the legal community of the Federal Circuit. The Association was organized to unite the different groups who practice within the legal community of the Federal Circuit. It seeks to strengthen and serve the Court through its Committees. The Association offers a forum for common concerns and dialogue between bar and court, government counsel and private practitioner, litigator, and corporate counsel. Periodically it sponsors regional seminars reviewing current practice in the Court.

The Columbia Law Review is one of the world’s leading publications of legal scholarship. Founded in 1901, the Review is an independent nonprofit corporation that produces a law journal edited and published entirely by students at Columbia Law School. It is one of a handful of student-edited law journals in the nation that publish eight issues a year. The Review is one of the most widely distributed and cited law reviews in the country. It receives about 2,000 submissions per year and selects approximately 20–25 manuscripts for publication annually, in addition to student Notes. In 2008, the Review expanded its audience with the launch of Sidebar, an online supplement to the Review. By bringing together a diverse group of legal scholars, practitioners, community leaders, and judges, Sidebar provides an important, emerging forum for the discussion of pressing legal issues.

The United States Court of Federal Claims Bar Association was formed to inform and support practicing attorneys before the Court of Federal Claims bar. By providing organized meetings, conferences and legal education seminars, attorneys will have a better understanding of the Court of Federal Claims. The association publishes a handbook manual on Practice and Procedure in the Court of Federal Claims and will publish a newsletter for members that will be both informative about the association as well as the Court of Federal Claims. The association will be involved in ethics and standards of practice before the bar and through the association be able to facilitate those standards of practice. The members of the association will support judicial appointments to the Court of Federal Claims which they feel will enhance the integrity and tradition of the Court of Federal Claims.
