The future of legal education for the past 45 years, NUSL educates both our JD and LLM students through academically rigorous coursework integrated with our signature Cooperative Legal Education Program (co-op). The unparalleled leader in providing students with practical experience, only NUSL offers LLM students the chance to participate in a full-time co-op and graduate with polished legal skills, valuable connections in your field and confidence in your chosen field of expertise. NUSL’s mission is to be a global leader in experiential legal education, providing students with the knowledge, skills, and ethical and social values essential to serving clients and the public interest, now and in the future. Through teaching, scholarship, and public service we work to promote social justice and enhance understanding of law’s impact on individuals, enterprises, and communities, at home and around the world. NUSL’s unique approach to training lawyers is known as cooperative legal education. Students complete a traditional first year of academic study; for the remaining two years, they alternate between quarters of full-time jobs ("co-ops") in the legal workplace and attending classes. Through their co-op experiences, students will be exposed to an array of legal practice opportunities, observe different approaches to the practice of law and determine for themselves which areas of the law most interest them.

The New Jersey State Bar Association (NJSBA) is a voluntary bar association for the state of New Jersey. In June 1899, 74 attorneys launched NJSBA in Atlantic City; annual dues were $5.00.[2] Within the next decade, the Canon of Ethics was adopted by the NJSBA and the Committee on Law Reform, aimed at improving the practice of law and administration of justice in NJ, was formed. Over the years, NJSBA supported the establishment of a Judicial Council to study the problem of an increase in court cases, the replacement of the New Jersey Court of Errors and Appeals with a Supreme Court, and the repeal of Prohibition. In 1945, NJSBA developed refresher courses for attorneys returning from service in World War II, the forerunner of today's practice of Continuing Legal Education. In the 1980s, paralegals, law office administrators and other non-lawyers were welcomed into NJSBA as associate members. NJSBA supports 37 practice-oriented sections to support a diverse spectrum of law practice. NJSBA is the publisher of New Jersey Lawyer Magazine. It shares New Jersey Law Center with the New Jersey State Bar Foundation, the Institute for Continuing Legal Education, the IOLTA Fund of the Bar of New Jersey, the New Jersey Lawyers Assistance Program and the New Jersey Commission on Professionalism.

The Metropolitan Museum of Art was founded on April 13, 1870, "to be located in the City of New York, for the purpose of establishing and maintaining in said city a Museum and library of art, of encouraging and developing the study of the fine arts, and the application of arts to manufacture and practical life, of advancing the general knowledge of kindred subjects, and, to that end, of furnishing popular instruction."1 This statement of purpose has guided the Museum for more than a century. The Trustees of The Metropolitan Museum of Art have reaffirmed the statement of purpose and supplemented it with the following statement of mission: The mission of The Metropolitan Museum of Art is to collect, preserve, study, exhibit, and stimulate appreciation for and advance knowledge of works of art that collectively represent the broadest spectrum of human achievement at the highest level of quality, all in the service of the public and in accordance with the highest professional standards. The Metropolitan Museum of Art provides an opportunity for employees to enrich and develop their love of the arts while contributing their specific skills and talents to the mission of the museum. The museum's curatorial, conservation, and education departments, as well as the Libraries, provide the opportunity to work with leading scholars and art historians. The premise on which the Museum was founded is "for the purpose of establishing and maintaining in [New York City] a museum and library of art, of encouraging and developing the study of the fine arts, and the application of arts to manufacture and practical life, of advancing the general knowledge of kindred subjects, and to that end of furnishing popular instruction".
