The Emergency Department is one of four Level I trauma centers in Chicago, treating both adult and pediatric trauma patients. Holy Cross Hospital, a 274-licensed bed community hospital, provides medical, surgical, intensive, emergency, labor and delivery, rehabilitation, outpatient and primary care services as well as a Seasons Hospice and Palliative Care unit. Its Emergency Department delivers comprehensive care for a broad range of critical and urgent medical needs. Holy Cross Hospital has achieved the Health Facilities Accreditation Program Primary Stroke Center certification.
