Company Description

Wasatch selects investments for clients based solely on investment considerations, including whether the investments are suitable for the client and consistent with the client’s investment objectives and guidelines. The firm generally uses a process of “bottom-up” fundamental analysis to look for individual companies that they believe are stable and have the potential to grow steadily for long periods of time. Their analysis may include studying a company’s financial statements, building proprietary financial models, visiting company facilities, and meeting with executive management, suppliers and customers.

CalPERS’ assets are managed by the CalPERS Board of Administration. CalPERS invests across a range of asset classes including global equity, private equity, fixed-income, real estate, infrastructure, forest land, inflation-linked bonds, liquidity and trust level. Strategies are managed both internally and through external managers. CalPERS' Global Equity Strategy is responsible for CalPERS investments in securities traded in global public equity markets, including in-house management of index-oriented and active strategies, externally managed active strategies, the Multi-Asset Class Partners Program, and active strategies run by emerging managers (Global Equity Emerging Manager Program). Global Equity is the principal asset class providing growth exposure in the strategic asset allocation. CalPERS Income Strategy primarily consists of US and international fixed income strategies. CalPERS' inflation-linked asset class is made up of two main asset types: commodities (including commodity futures, forwards, swaps, structured notes, and options) and inflation-linked bonds. Forestland investments are long-term investments. The return drivers include biological growth, timber prices, and land values. Forestland targets investments within the timber and agriculture sectors. CalPERS' Liquidity Strategy consists of highly liquid short-term securities with maturities of less than 10 years. Real Estate strategy focuses on US core assets with moderate leverage. CalPERS' Trust Level Portfolio Management Program (TLPM) is responsible for delivering targeted, risk-adjusted, total fund level investment returns over the long-term, anchored by the belief that strategic asset allocation is the dominant determinant of portfolio risk and return.

OPERS’s investment decisions are made by the Retirement Board on the recommendation of the system's professional staff and outside investment advisors. The investment committee monitors the investment activities. They place contributed funds in income-producing investments that meet the requirements of Ohio law. The firm takes a contrarian approach that seeks to identify US stocks with negative Wall Street perceptions, low price-to-book values and catalysts that will lead to increases in earnings growth and prices. OPERS's investment approach combines fundamental research with a top-down overlay process.

Angie’s List: Borrow Some Experience More than 2 million households nationwide check Angie's List reviews to find the best local service providers, like roofers, plumbers, handymen, mechanics, doctors and dentists. And that's just the short list. We collect ratings and reviews on more than 550 different services. The people who join Angie's List are just like you — real folks looking for a way to find trustworthy companies that perform high-quality work. "Ratings, Reviews and (Sometimes) Revenge" Angie's List members submit more than 60,000 reviews every month about the companies they hire. They include incredible details about how the project went (including cost), and grade the company's response time, price, professionalism and quality of work -- good or bad -- on an A to F scale. Angie's List members will tell you if a crew was conscious of children and pets, cleaned up after themselves or just totally botched the job. How it works Keeping it honest Because Angie's List relies on its members' experiences, reviews aren't submitted anonymously. Of course members' information is kept confidential on Angie's List, but reviews are made available to the companies who have been reviewed. Since there are always two sides to every story, companies can respond to reviews, helping make sure that members get all the information they need to make a hiring decision. Additionally, members can only report on a service experience once every six months, ensuring no one can "stack the deck" in favor of or against a company. Finally, all reviews submitted by members go through a team of Angie's List staff who look for any irregularities or red flags. Occasionally, we catch service companies reporting on their own businesses. Those companies are reprimanded and the reports are promptly and permanently removed from the List. See the full list of services. Companies can't pay to get on Angie's List Angie's List, but once they achieve a top rating from our members, they are invited to offer an exclusive discount online or in our print magazine. Members pay a monthly or annual membership fee to access the ratings on Angie's List. Membership fees Angie's List members receive: Full access to ratings & reviews on AngiesList.com Real-live support through our award-winning call center Angie's List Magazine Access to our Complaint Resolution Team If you don't receive the quality of work that you expected from a service company, give us a call and we'll work to resolve the situation on your behalf. Exclusive deals from highly rated service companies. Power in numbers Through Angie's List, you have the ability to quickly and easily tell thousands of other Angie's List members about your experiences with a company. That's really great news for the companies that do quality work - and not so great news for the companies that don't. So when contractors know that you're an Angie's List member, we've found that you're more likely to get a quick call back, the crews show up on time and work is completed faster.
