Montgomery College in Rockville, Maryland, offers degree programs in everything from in-demand professional fields to the fine arts. Rockville area residents may also take advantage of Montgomery’s basic skills, professional development and enrichment classes. Montgomery College awards professional degrees in such fields as: * Computer Engineering * Fire Protection Technology * Graphic Design * Nursing * Surgical Technology Students may also pursue one of Montgomery’s creative arts degrees. Creative arts majors include: * Music * Photography * Studio Art * Television Production * Theatre Graduates of Montgomery’s associate’s degree programs have the option of pursuing a career or transferring to a four-year college or university. Montgomery College also has non-credit offerings for those interested in personal enrichment, career enhancement or basic skills development. These continuing education classes include courses in business, computer technology, ESL and GED preparation. Like everything else at Montgomery College, extracurricular activities are plentiful and varied and include academic, cultural and special interest clubs and organizations. Students needing financial assistance may receive financial aid in the form of loans, grants, work-study and scholarships. To apply for aid, applicants must fill out a FAFSA. Admissions applications and instruction are available on the Montgomery College website. Individuals that wish to take a continuing education course may simply register.
