Winslow Capital Management primary investment strategy is their Large Cap Growth strategy, although they also offer Managed Volatility Large Cap Growth strategy. Winslow believes that investing in companies with above-average earnings growth provides the best opportunity to achieve superior portfolio returns over the long-term. While above-average earnings growth is a necessity, valuation relative to their estimated earnings growth rate is also important in stock selection. Winslow invests in 3 types of earnings growth: long-term sustainable earnings growth, cyclical growth in the right part of the cycle, and newer industries with rapid growth. Typically, Winslow allocates 25%-40% of a portfolio to securities representing each type of earnings growth.Winslow's Large Cap Growth investment process is fundamentally-driven, with an underlying valuation discipline. They begin with a qualitative evaluation to identify high-quality growth companies. They look for companies: in markets with growth opportunities; that hold lead market share (or the potential to gain market share); with identifiable/sustainable competitive advantages; that deploy excess cash to enhance returns; and that deploy excess cash to enhance returns. To identify investments, Winslow uses a quantitative screen of the companies in the Russell 1000 Index with market-caps greater than $4 billion, complemented with suitable companies that are not in the index or are below $4 billion in market-cap. Winslow uses multiple screens to further narrow the list, including a qualitative assessment in the context of each company's sector. Their analysis emphasizes competitive advantage and pricing power in determining whether a company meets their definition of a high-quality growth company. In an effort to outperform the Russell 1000 Growth index, they build portfolios that are distinct from the index. Sector weightings usually vary from +/- 10 percentage points of the index weight. Winslow generally seeks to own position sizes of 1%-3%. Portfolios typically hold 55-65 stocks. Winslow diversifies portfolios with respect to earnings growth rates, market-caps, p/e ratios and economic sectors. A portion of the assets may be invested in dollar-denominated equity securities of non-US issuers that are listed on a US stock exchange or in ADRs.For the Managed Volatility Large Cap Growth strategy, Winslow engages Nuveen Asset Management LLC, an affiliated investment advisor, to invest in futures and/or swaps in to minimize the volatility of the account over changing market conditions. While Winslow primarily provides investment advice with respect to securities, client accounts in the Managed Volatility Large Cap Growth strategy may include commodity interests (e.g., futures, options on futures and swaps) on a limited basis.

Select Equity Group (SEG) offers a long-only equity management program that utilizes fundamental analysis to select stocks they believe will provide better than market returns over a complete market cycle. Money market reserves may comprise 0% to 50% of the account, but generally range from 0% to 20%, depending on market conditions. SEG generally limits their portfolio of securities to less than 40 than stocks in each account. SEG does not generally attempt to \"time\" the market or to predict overall macro-economic trends. Instead, they seek to make investments in good businesses with strong managements that they believe are inefficiently valued by the markets.SEG employs eight primary investment strategies. Approximately 85% of the firm's AUM are invested in US and foreign equities. Their investment strategies are generally driven by a research-intensive, fundamental bottom-up process and draw upon a centralized research department. These strategies include: Small-Mid Cap /Long-Only: US Core: Concentrated Global; US Long/Short; International Long/Short; International Long-Only; Global Long-Only: and Private Equity. SEG obtains exposure to particular issuers or securities for their private funds (and may for individual clients) through various types of derivatives transactions, including swaps and contracts for differences. In addition, they may hedge exposure to currency fluctuations for foreign securities owned by the private funds by entering into currency forward or option transactions..
