The youngest university in the Florida State University System, Florida Gulf Coast University (FGCU) has grown and continues to grow at a rapid pace. Located in South Myers, Florida, FGCU is constantly updating its academic programs to include more and more cutting-edge, relevant and in-demand programs. The youngest of its departments, the Forensics and Criminal Justice divisions, are adding more programs all the time. FGCU offers other in-demand career options such as bachelor's and master's degrees in Social Work, a bachelor's in Community Health, a master's in Occupational Therapy and degrees in Nursing, Business, Education and Engineering as well as arts and science offerings. Online offerings at FGCU are impressive and allow students to obtain bachelor's and master's degrees in Business, Public Administration, Legal Studies, Teaching and several other fields. Attentive to the varying needs of its students, FGCU also offers associate's degrees and certificates leading to highly marketable careers in medicine and the legal industry, among others. FGCU's student life has also blossomed. Campus art galleries, a theatre, sports, Greek life and student organizations are just some of the offerings. FGCU's student services are sure to meet all students wherever they are and give them the support they need. Tutoring, supplemental instruction, regularly held job and internship fairs, counseling, international and multicultural student services and an outreach program for disadvantaged students are just some of the programs available. Financial aid is available to eligible students through the traditional sources such as grants, loans, scholarships and work-study.
