The San Diego Zoo and Safari Park said Friday that its plans to reopen in early June have been delayed because the state will not consider it to be an outdoor museum.
On May 12, Gov. Gavin Newsom declared that California's outdoor museums - botanical gardens and outdoor exhibition spaces - could reopen as part of Stage 2 of the state's reopening.
