Worthington Holiday Inn falls to the wrecking ball : The hotel, on High Street just inside I-270, is being demolished to make way for a new mixed-use development

A longtime Worthington landmark is being torn down to prepare for a mixed-use development that's been in the planning stages for several years.

Crews this week began demolishing the Holiday Inn that's stood for more than 40 years at 7007 N. High Street, on the southwest corner of High Street and W. Wilson Bridge Road, just inside Interstate 270.
