The case of a woman from Utah, who was convicted for killing of a premature twin baby, has appeared as a rare criminal case that comes as out-of-hospital births, and it has spread rapidly across the U.S. and more states.
The court sentenced Vickie Sorensen, 57, to six months imprisonment on Tuesday on charges of murder. Sorensen was found guilty of second-degree felony manslaughter and two misdemeanor counts of reckless endangerment, in October.
