WATER POLICY: Democrats push 'green' WRDA bill

A subcommittee of the House Transportation and Infrastructure Committee will delve this week into the legislation that authorizes water infrastructure projects, as Congress weighs ideas for the next version in 2020.

The Water Resources Development Act, typically -- but not always -- renewed every two years, outlines funding for inland waterways, flood control projects and municipal waterworks supported by the Clean Water State Revolving Fund. The last version was enacted in 2018.
