Voters must weigh higher taxes, school needs
Community groups are making last-ditch efforts to get voters to the polls for the Dallas school district’s ballot measure asking for more tax dollars.
The Dallas Independent School District wants to raise its maintenance and operating tax rate by 13 cents to fund some teacher raises, expanded prekindergarten efforts, more school choice options and efforts to achieve racial equity.
