Town rejects state broadband findings, creates its own
A map of broadband speeds created by a grassroots group shows lower connection speeds than are reflected in the map New York is using to fund broadband initiatives, leading to concerns state money will pass the town by.
The state created its map mostly using data provided by the Federal Communications Commission, which gets its information from the internet service providers.
