Thornberry: soap opera at top of Labour stalling anti-Semitism fix

A "SOAP opera" at the top of the Labour Party involving its biggest union backer, its general secretary and deputy leader is preventing the party from tackling its anti-Semitism crisis, Emily Thornberry has warned.

The shadow foreign secretary said Len McCluskey, the Unite leader, Jennie Formby, the general secretary, and Tom Watson, the party's deputy leader, have "a great deal of history", which was proving to be a distraction.
