The Funded: VMware buys Avi Networks; 12 Bay Area startups raise over $500M
Palo Alto-based VMware Inc. on Thursday said it agreed to acquire Santa Clara-based Avi Networks Inc. for an undisclosed amount.
Avi had raised about $115 million and was valued at about $275 million in its most recent round of funding last summer. Its investors included Lightspeed Venture Partners, Greylock Partners, Menlo Ventures and Cisco Systems.
