Taxi sharing could replace rural bus routes

SUBSIDISED, pooled taxi services that are part of a wider public transport network should replace lost bus routes in rural areas, a report by the Campaign for Better Transport (CBT) says.

It says new technology will enable private hire vehicles to offer shared transport for small groups of people.
