State school board picks leader Appointed Republican member Laura Kohler is elected president
Laura Kohler, an appointed state school board member from New Albany, was elected president of the board Tuesday with the unanimous support of other appointed Republican members and the apparent backing of Gov. Mike DeWine.
Elected member Charlotte McGuire was named vice president over Sarah Fowler of Ashtabula County in the second of two votes, after the first ended in a tie.
