Society might rethink values after pandemic, says Carney

MARK CARNEY, the former Bank of England chief, will call for a rethink of dominant market values in favour of humanitarian ones when he gives the Reith Lectures.

Mr Carney, who spent 12 years at the helm of the central bank, will deliver the BBC's annual addresses, and argue that society is likely to question values in the wake of the Covid-19 pandemic.
