Support for affirmative action in college admissions for African Americans has been falling for years, and what are called "colorblind" methods of admissions have been gaining ground in the courts. The Supreme Court has been chipping away at affirmative action, and the ascension of conservative Brett M. Kavanaugh to the court could herald new attacks on it in the near future.
