Sentry Investments appoints new CIO : Quick hits

Toronto-based Sentry Investments has appointed Gaelen Morphet as its chief investment officer, replacing Sandy McIntyre.

Mr. McIntyre will remain actively involved at Sentry as an executive and as vice-chairman of the board, the company said in a release.

Previously, Ms. Morphet was chief investment officer at Empire Life Investments, and also held senior roles at CIBC Asset Management, Merrill Lynch Investment Managers and AMI Partners.
