Rolls-Royce is selling the majority of its civil nuclear division in a deal that could be worth up to £200m, according to report in The Sunday Times. The FTSE 100 engineer has hired KPMG to explore a sale of the business, which makes equipment for nuclear reactors.
The disposal comes as engineering giant Melrose attempts to sell GKN's tractor wheels division, it also revealed. Melrose is under pressure to ditch parts of GKN after a hostile takeover battle last year.
