Regulators eye deals as boom set to continue
The risk of regulators putting the brakes on multibillion-dollar transactions is increasing, but deal makers say it won't stop boards pulling the trigger on mergers and acquisitions after a bumper 2018.
Deals during 2018 reached the highest level since 2011, with M&A transactions worth a combined $US113.6 billion announced, and $US106.2 billion completed involving Australian companies, according to Dealogic.
