Prince remembers The Prince of Wales attended a memorial service on the centenary of a disaster that caused the greatest loss of life in British waters in peace time. Only 82 of the 283 passengers aboard HMY Iolaire (above) are thought to have survived when it smashed into rocks near Stornoway on the Isle of Lewis on Jan 1, 1919.
