For over two decades, Mr Edward Lee, 62, has been living with hypertension - a chronic disease that now makes him more vulnerable to experiencing severe symptoms from the coronavirus.

It is a risk faced by nearly one in four adults between the ages of 39 and 60, and more than half of those aged 60 to 69, according to the Ministry of Health.
